Even if certain companies still use "maid", it is considered sexist, outdated and therefore disrespectful, and the job title usually includes more tasks than just cleaning. People who clean the house prefer to be called "housekeeper" because they help keep the house clean. (Even if in previous eras it was traditionally also used to involve more tasks, the word has since evolved and is also regarded as more gender-neutral)
